Triad Athletes x PCRF LaCROSSe Out Cancer Giving Tuesday Press Release

In the world of lacrosse, there’s an exciting new initiative that combines athleticism with a meaningful cause: LaCROSSe Out Cancer, a campaign under the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). This movement allows lacrosse players, teams, and enthusiasts to support pediatric cancer research by engaging in fundraising challenges.

These challenges are built around the number 47—symbolic of the 47 children diagnosed with cancer every day in the U.S. Participants can raise money through activities such as doing 47 reps or asking for donations in increments of $47.

The goal is to help close the funding gap for pediatric cancer research, which receives only a small portion of federal cancer research funding

Triad Athletes is well-positioned to collaborate with LaCROSSe Out Cancer. As a company focused on empowering athletes and fostering growth through leadership and teamwork, Triad can use its platform to rally its athletes and community around this cause. The Triad Athletes' emphasis on the growth of women's lacrosse and inspiring the next generation of players aligns perfectly with LaCROSSe Out Cancer’s mission to teach athletes to give back and make a difference in the lives of young cancer patients.

By working together, these two organizations could amplify their impact. Triad Athletes can mobilize its network of players, coaches, and supporters to take part in LaCROSSe Out Cancer’s fundraising challenges, leveraging their reach across the lacrosse community. Through friendly competitions, clinics, or tournaments, Triad’s athletes could raise awareness and funds, with each event serving not only as a competitive showcase but as an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the fight against pediatric cancer.

The partnership would also provide young athletes with a powerful lesson in philanthropy and empathy—showing them that their efforts on the field can have a lasting, positive effect off the field as well. With events like the Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival already showcasing the collaboration between PCRF and lacrosse teams across the country, Triad Athletes could follow suit, encouraging its players to take up the LaCROSSe Out Cancer challenge and join the fight to save lives.

This collaboration offers a win-win for both organizations: raising crucial funds for pediatric cancer research while fostering a sense of community and responsibility among young athletes. Together, Triad Athletes and LaCROSSe Out Cancer can not only support the next generation of lacrosse players but also champion a cause that transcends the sport.
