WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUR TRIAD ATHLETES?
The advice I would give to the Triad Athletes is to work hard and have fun.
Do not be afraid to make mistakes or take risks on the field.
The best athletes do not care about looking foolish or failing. Have fun and get creative with your sport.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST BARRIER / CHALLENGE, AND WHAT DID YOU DO TO OVERCOME IT?
I tore my ACL two years ago and that was, by far, a defining point in my career. I learned so much about myself as a person, player and teammate. I overcame both physical and mental hurdles that in the end, made me a much stronger athlete.
I had to lean on my support system and friends around me. I met regularly with a sports psychologist and I celebrated every win throughout the recovery process, both big and small.

Triad Athletes is a San Diego based youth girls lacrosse coaching program with the goal to grow women's lacrosse on the West Coast.
